Individual Counseling

One-to-one sessions focused on your goals, at your pace.

A calm counseling room with comfortable seating and natural light

Individual counseling offers a private, unhurried space to talk through what is weighing on you. Sessions are collaborative: you set the direction, and your counselor helps you explore patterns, build coping skills, and work toward goals that matter to you.

Your first sessions usually focus on understanding your history, what you have already tried, and what a meaningful change would look like for you. From there, you and your counselor agree on a focus and revisit it as things shift.

Most clients meet weekly or every other week. Some work is short-term and skills-based; other work unfolds over a longer period. You are free to pause or end counseling at any time, and your counselor can help with referrals.

What sessions often address

  • Life transitions, grief, and loss
  • Self-esteem and identity
  • Work, school, and burnout concerns
  • Coping skills and emotional regulation

This may be a good fit if

  • You want a confidential space to talk things through with someone outside your circle
  • You are managing a life transition, grief, or a long-running stressor
  • You would like practical tools alongside space to reflect
  • You are not currently experiencing a mental health emergency

Counseling outcomes vary from person to person. No specific result can be promised, and counseling is not a substitute for medical care or emergency services. Your counselor will discuss options, alternatives, and limitations with you during intake.
